Our mission
Wrestle for Impact is a nonprofit that helps youth wrestlers train, compete and grow. We support athletes and families facing financial barriers while strengthening the wrestling community across Texas.
Through wrestling we teach excellence, respect, teamwork, leadership, integrity and perseverance, values that help young men and women in school, in sports and in their communities.
Our story
Wrestle for Impact was founded in 2024 by a group of Houston friends who met through youth wrestling and shared a simple goal: to make a difference in the lives of young athletes. Seeing the financial challenges many families face, they set out to provide gear, travel assistance and resources so that every wrestler, regardless of means, could get more mat time and chase their goals.
In 2025 we awarded scholarships to 4 Texas athletes for national team travel and summer camps. In 2026 we helped 9 athletes travel to national tournaments. Our goal is to double the number of athletes we support every year.
What we do
- Grants and scholarships for national tournament travel and summer camps
- Help with wrestling gear and tournament fees
- Hosting wrestling opportunities, including Westchase Wrestling practices in Houston
- Free tournament photos for families
Accountability
Wrestle for Impact is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, EIN 99-4905804. Grants are paid directly to event costs, never as cash to parents.
